Stix Bar, Burswood
For many years we dreamt of owning a small bar or restaurant, and when the opportunity arose to purchase a property (previously a restaurant) in the Burswood Peninsula area where we live, we jumped at the chance.
We wanted to create a venue that was stylish and elegant, yet warm and inviting – a place where local residents could drop in for a drink or some tapas, or stay for a more substantial sit-down meal. A place that would feel like home.
The space we purchased was in need of a makeover, so we engaged the services of Million Dollar Makeovers, to help us to turn our dream into a reality.
From the outset, Sasha (CEO of MDM) and her staff were nothing but professional. On our first meeting, Sasha came up with the ‘’vision’’ of Stix Bar being a funky, Manhattan-style venue with lots of warm lighting, rich colours and textures. The addition of an industrial chain curtain between two existing pillars, meant the space was divided into two sections, one being the more formal seated dining area, and the other a casual space where people could gather for drinks and tapas. Genius!
The Project took 6 months from start to finish from initial conception to completion. The fit out time onsite took 8 working weeks, and we are absolutely thrilled with the result. The locals love the new look and feel of the space, and visitors from further afield are also suitably impressed.
The Million Dollar Makeovers team were always positive and friendly, and ready to assist whenever we had a query. Even on weekends! Tricia the project co-ordinator was extremely efficient and professional at all times. Any problems that arose were always immediately addressed, and resolved to our satisfaction. Renee the on-site project manager was incredibly enthusiastic
and energetic, and always ready to respond to our many requests. “No problems, only solutions’’ was her favourite saying.
We absolutely love our new bar/restaurant, and would not hesitate to recommend Millon Dollar Makeovers to anyone looking for a professional, tight-knit team to undertake an interior design project.
